Despite being a quiet cloudy week here in Valencia, I was eager to put together a fresh spring makeup! The majority of this week’s picks are from French drugstore brand Bourjois. Bourjois is my current favorite drugstore brand and inspires me most for spring and summer! They have the prettiest packaging and fragranced cosmetics. Here are my picks to put together a fresh spring makeup look:
Make up For Ever HD Foundation in N120 (€ 35)
I chose this one because it provides the most natural finish while still having a decent amount of coverage. It settles into a natural-matt finish, not really my favorite finish but works well as a base!
Bourjois Maxi Delight Bronzer in fair to medium skin tones (All year round sun kissed bronzing powder with glints of sunshine, €12. Contains mother of pearl and Beta Carotene to enhance and prolong your tan.)
This week has been very cloudy so I’ve had to fake that sun-kissed glow. This bronzer comes in a big pan and has some slightly glitter action, so it is beautiful on décolletage as well! I don’t find the shimmer overwhelming and the formula is very fine so applies very finely and natural. Oh, and it smells like there famous Bourjois chocolate scent! Heaven!
Bourjois blush 85 sienna (€ 8)
A warm brownish – pink matt finely baked texture blush that can also be used for contouring! I think it looks best for that nude look with a subtle hint of color on the cheeks, also reminds me of Benefits Dallas blusher. Formula is long-lasting, silky and smells very nice!
Bourjois Java rice powder, universal translucent. (€10)
I was curious about this rice powder, not sure what it was supposed to do. Turns out it is a beautiful silky, fine textured illuminator that helps to settle the makeup, gives a subtle radiant glow and pleasant smell. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this product! The only downside might be the not so practical packaging since the powder does move around but the little pot is so adorable vintage-inspired I really don’t mind.
Makeup Forever Starpowder (€19) in 930 Bronze Brown & 946 Iridescent beige
I was very surprised how long-lasting these loose shimmer pigments are. They last all day long and stay in place. The formula is very fine and blends easily. The color 946 is my favorite, a beautiful light champagne color that looks beautiful on its own.
I finished off the eyes with white lose pigment for the inner corners of the eye, eyeliner and black mascara.
Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon Peach on the Beach (SPF 15, waterproof, glossy finish lipstick, € 13)
How perfect is this shade for spring?! I am in love with the creamy and longlasting color of this cute chubby! The color ‘peach on the beach’ (I couldn’t have picked a better name!) is a coral – pinkish color that instantly lifts up my complexion, it is bright and high pigmented. It hydrates my lips and the color lasted up to 3-4 hours! Huge thumps up!
